What is low-pressure casting?
Low-pressure casting is a casting process in which molten metal is smoothly forced from bottom to top into a mold cavity by applying low-pressure gas into a sealed, holding furnace, and solidification is completed under maintained pressure.
Compared to gravity casting and high-pressure die casting, low-pressure casting can effectively control the filling speed and solidification process, thereby obtaining high-quality castings with fewer porosity, dense structure, and uniform properties.
Why choose low-pressure casting?
1️⃣ Stable filling, fewer internal defects
Bottom-up low-pressure filling reduces molten metal turbulence, significantly lowering the risk of porosity and inclusions.
2️⃣ Dense castings with excellent mechanical properties
Solidation under maintained pressure ensures effective feeding, improving strength and durability.
3️⃣ High dimensional consistency
Stable process parameters result in minimal dimensional fluctuations in batch castings, suitable for large-scale production.
4️⃣ Suitable for structural and functional components
Widely used in load-bearing components, seals, and parts with high reliability requirements.
