What is horizontal milling?
Horizontal milling refers to a milling machining method where the spindle is arranged horizontally. Combined with a table or pallet exchange system, it allows for continuous machining of multiple sides of a part.
Compared to vertical milling, horizontal milling has significant advantages in rigidity, chip removal capacity, and long-term stable machining, making it particularly suitable for medium to large-sized parts, box-shaped parts, and mass production scenarios.

Why Choose Horizontal Milling?
1️⃣ Higher Efficiency for Multi-Sided Machining
With a rotary table or pallet system, multiple sides can be machined in a single setup, reducing clamping and positioning time.
2️⃣ Greater Rigidity, Suitable for Heavy Cutting
The horizontal structure is more stable when machining large or high-hardness materials, reducing vibration and increasing tool life.
3️⃣ Smooth Chip Removal, More Consistent Surface Quality
Chips fall naturally, avoiding secondary cutting and helping to maintain a stable surface roughness.
4️⃣ Better Suitable for Batch and Long-Term Machining
The equipment operates stably, suitable for continuous machining and large-scale production, ensuring batch consistency.
