Gravity Casting: A Solution for High-Quality Metal Castings
Dense Structure, Stable Performance, Suitable for Medium to High-Volume Production
- Utilizing gravity for natural mold filling results in a more stable internal structure of the casting.
- Suitable for high-quality casting of non-ferrous metals such as aluminum alloys.
- Excellent dimensional consistency, minimal machining allowance.
- A mature casting process that balances performance and cost.
What is gravity casting?
Gravity casting is a casting process in which molten metal is naturally poured into a metal mold or sand mold under the influence of gravity. Compared to high-pressure die casting, the filling process in gravity casting is more stable, which helps reduce porosity and internal defects, resulting in a denser casting structure and more stable mechanical properties.
This process is widely used in the manufacture of metal parts that require high strength, sealing, and reliability.

Why Choose Gravity Casting?
1️⃣ Dense Casting Structure, More Reliable Performance
Natural gravity filling reduces turbulence and porosity, making it suitable for parts requiring strength and durability.
2️⃣ Dimensional Stability, Less Machining Allowance
Compared to sand casting, dimensional consistency is better, reducing subsequent machining costs.
3️⃣ Superior Surface Quality Compared to Traditional Sand Casting
Metal molds achieve better surface finish, reducing grinding and finishing processes.
4️⃣ High Cost-Effectiveness, Suitable for Mass Production
A good balance is achieved between performance, quality, and cost, making it suitable for long-term bulk supply.
